OOTD: Summer's Approaching ...

Hello my beauties!
Today the weather has been delicious! I'm so excited for Summer 2014 and all the exciting adventures that approaching, typically a little too excited! So today I dug out an old playsuit and some popping colours and have spent the day in the sunshine with family!

Floral Playsuit

This is possibly the most daring item I have ever purchased! Do I regret it? No way! It's amazing.
I've always found it really hard pulling bright colours off, as well as playsuits and jumpsuits not only because of my weight but my height too. This playsuit is brilliant though, there's slight elastic around the shoulders, giving that extra 'give' it buttons up directly through the front and isn't too short! The detail print is Devine, it features Red, Yellow, Green and a couple of shades of Blue. I originally brought this a few years back for a festival, although I don't recommend wearing this if you're going to be in direct sun for long periods of time because the tan lines are almost illegal! (speaking from experience here) but other than that its almost perfect!
I often find the all in one outfits make my overly large hips look terrible, but I feel comfortable in this and thats all that matters - right? I brought this from Asos Curve for around £15 but its no longer available, or at least I cannot find it.
Despite that, there's tones of delicious Playsuits and Jumpsuits available online at the moment.
It's worth having a browse!

White Cami

Featured in my previous post Job Interview Attire this is the white version. I wore this to conceal some cleavage,   I brought this for my holiday, they come in a multi-pack of 2 (black and white) from Fashion World and they were £12.

Red Pumps.

These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I own, seriously! I brought these for my holiday and lived in them, they are red but they offer a huge range of colours. They have a cute woven like soul, which is just as display for the outside of the shoe, the soul of the shoe inside is so soft, its literally like walking on clouds! The front of the shoe has elastic either side which gives you the extra 'give' these are true to size but after wearing they seem to be a little on the big side. Purchased from Primark for a tiny £4!!

 Red Satchel

This is such a cute little satchel! And when I say little, I lie. It's surprisingly spacious!! The satchel comes with a long thick handle, which I choose to hide inside the bag on this occasion. I think the cute little gold buckle and brown rim really adds some individuality to the bag. I'm not sure where it was from as it was a Birthday Present and there's no tag, but I've seen loads around, most high-street stores stock them and they come in at around £20 or less depending on what you're looking for.

 Sunglasses

These were another holiday purchase! Just a staple item in my accessory collection. Surprisingly good at blocking out the sun too! These were brought from Primark for a super duper cheap £1!!!

I hope you enjoyed this OOTD!
What did you do today?
I hope this weather picks up and continues!

OOTD: Job Interview Attire

Hey my beautiful people!

How are you all?

So, today I had an Interview ... It's my second EVER Interview so was pretty much a nervous wreck from start to finish, the fact it was torrential rain outside did not help the situation in the slightest, because I can assure you, carrying a dripping wet bag is not a good look, neither is wearing a 'non water proof' coat or your umbrella breaking on you en route!
(you can all feel sorry for me around about .... now)

I figured I'd share my Job Interview Attire for all you Plus Size Beauties to get some inspiration! I feel we should all have them essential pieces of clothing that are on standby for such occasions, especially being a Plus Size woman. It's so hard to find something for every day that is comfortable and flattering let alone something for an interview. Which is why everything I wore today I pre-owned (besides the fact of being completely out of money to go shopping .... again (feel sorry for me here)

So here goes ... just please excuse the photography skills, my Mum is still learning
(bless her)

High Waisted Leggings

I cannot get enough for these leggings! I literally live in Leggings, they're so comfortable and versatile, but I find it hard finding the right type. I'm fairly tall so struggle length wise, then because I'm a size 22-24 I struggle finding my size, then if that's not enough half of my old collection were see-through after a single wear! So when I come across these, I was intrigued. I brought x2 pairs to start with, and when they arrived I instantly fell in love. I couldn't complain about the price, the quality of the material was amazing. They're rather thick, which solves the see though problem, they offer different leg lengths - another problem solved! and they go up to size 36!!! The control panel across the stomach area is very flattering and holds everything in a little better than regular leggings and I haven't found them to go 'baggy' around the knee area. I've since ordered another pair and slowly I'm converting to these! They're great for any occasion. They're a huge staple in my wardrobe! I brought these from Simply Be for £12!!

Polkadot Shirt

This is possibly my favourite shirt right now! I brought it about a month or so ago, and cannot get enough of it! The material is beautiful, so airy and doesn't cling to any bumps and lumps! I actually got this a size smaller than what I normally buy and it still fits perfectly. I wore the shirt with a few buttons undone, I think when it's completely done up although the collar looks beautiful, it can be a little too much and enhances the 'fatness' of my triple chin. So whilst we're talking about the collar, the shirt has a lovely detailed black collar which is studded on the ends. The cuffs of the shirt also has detail with matching buttons. The shirt is buttoned up, but with an extra layer of material covering the buttons, leaving a flawless affect. I brought this from Simply Be costing around £20. Although I cannot find it on their website anymore!

Black Cami
You can't really see this but for the sake of prevention I wore a plain black cami underneath my shirt, the last thing my possible employers want is an eyeful of whats underneath. I brought this for my holiday, they come in a multi-pack of 2 (black and white) from Fashion World and they were £12.

Red Studded Pumps

These are just regular pumps with some extra detail around the edges with studs. I chose these to add a little pop to my outfit. They're so comfortable and come in a huge range of sizes and widths. I brought these about a year ago though, so I'm not sure if they're still online but I purchased them from Very for £8 - bargain!!!

I hope this helps you out on some ideas for a Job Interview or similar situation.

Blue ... Aztec!

Hey guys!

So as a plus size woman, I've often been too scared to try new things, styles and even more so patterns!!
I'm sure a lot of you can agree?!

I've often thought of trying new things, but when it comes down to it I get too 'scared' and back down.

Not long ago, I treated myself to some new clothes and I come across this beautiful Aztec top and I figured I'd try it out, after all if it looked that bad then I could just send it back - right?

Review.
I love this top!
It's so flattering and can be used as a casual top or formal. I've only worn this top twice and both have been casual occasions but I know with a killer pair of heels that this could be a brilliant statement top for a night out!
It's so comfortable which is a fantastic pointer, as a plus size woman I find it hard to find clothes which are stylish and comfortable. This top has a rounded neckline, short sleeves and a flattering low hemmed back, which helps to hide any lumps and bumps you might have! It's available in sizes 14 - 32.
The top itself is 95% Viscose and 5% Elastane helping the top float and it's not vlingy at all.
I really recommend this top to anyone wanting to try out a burst of colour but wanting to reamin comfortable!!

The Outfit.

I teamed this top with a pair of black leggings which have stud details along the seem line and a pair of colour popping pumps.

The shoes are great, a brilliant and easy way to break up an outfit.
I figured they worked great at breaking my outfit up, between the popping top and plain black leggings.  The leggings were just an old pair that I had floating around, I'm not too sure where I purchased them from but any tupe of black legging or jean would look great. In the summer months I would even consider wearing a pencil skirt with this top and maybe adding some heels.

 Shopping List.

TOP                    £21.00
SHOES                £8.00

What's your opinion?
Have you tried anything new lately?
