Dirty Works Lip Balm Duo - Review.

Hey ladies and gents! 

So I had a dig through some Christmas presents last week and I come across these!
Dirty Works Lip Balm Duo.
I've been wanting to have a try of them for a while now but the packaging looked too good to touch! (I'm sad like that) but I overcome the fear and indulged! 

Firstly I think the packaging is gorgeous, it's so bright and girly! I love the contrast of the pinks, purples and creams. I'm feeling the whole 50/60s style with the polka dots. I love how small the tins are too. They're almost like a Yo-Yo shaped tin with the curves and impressions on the sides of the tin. They're small and easy to handle, they're also easy to open which I often find a pain when dealing with small tins like these - so that's a bonus!! 

So you get 2 lip balms in the pack, 

- Cherry Kiss

- Coconut Caress 

Although I'm not a fan of anything Coconut (VOM) so I passed that one onto my Mum but I love the Cherry Kiss!!
It's become my daily love, I can't go a day without using it.
I carry it about with me everywhere. If you're  in to little pleasures then I'd recommend you grab a packet of these. I'm not sure as to how much they are to buy nor where you can get them but I've have a little browse online and come across them from £2.99 - £4.99 in  various drug stores!

MUA £1 Mascara Review.

Okay so this week I run out of my favorite mascara and I'm skint to the bone so when in town I picked up a MUA £1 Mascara ... honestly not expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised!!

 I thought for such a cheap product, which I know is the idea of MUA but seriously £1 for a mascara!!! The design was nice, simple but cute! The brush was a fan mascara brush which are my favorite as I find you get a thick but less clumpy application.

Soap and Glory Small Wonders Mini Hat Box Gift Set - Review

I've not really been a big fan of Soap & Glory and to be honest didn't see what the massive hype was about! Until a few months ago my Auntie brought me a big tub of their body butter which I fell in love with! 

So after Christmas I went shopping and come across this cute little gift set from Boots I just had to purchase it just to try out some of their other products. 

I'm honestly shocked that I didn't realise how amazing Soap & Glory was ages ago! 

I can't express my new found love enough! 

I think the package design is brilliant, it's so bright and girly! 

I've also made use of the box after using the products, I've filled it with my sleep in rollers which fit x2O in inside nice and snug! 

This would have been a brilliant gift for Christmas as its filled with 4 of their best selling products and a loofah!

Personally I tend to stay away from fragrance products because I have such sensitive skin but I've not had any trouble with any of these products so I'm chuffed!!

Nail Of The Week.

As you've seen I have a hype about MUA products lately, I've finally found five minutes to start reviewing a few products.
I can happily rate all their make up 100% perfect but I was very wary with their nail polishes for £1 I was expecting a very heavy water based product that would be near on rubbish, or take at least 10 coats to look effective BUT - I was totally wrong!!

Rimmel London - Your Majesty 239 

Personally I'm so happy with the result!
I love the whole Mint Green trend and for £1 you can't really moan!
I used two coats of the MUA Nail Polish 1448 - SHADE 5 which I felt gave me perfect coverage.
I then used two coats of the Rimmel London - Your Majesty 239 on my ring fingers to add a little sparkle, this retails at around £3 which is still a bargain!

MUA - MAKEUP ACADEMY.

 I woke up today in such a creative mood, and I've decided to try out some of my MUA products that have been laying about in the shopping bag I brought them in over a month ago!!! ... Anyhow, Someone tweeted me about MUA having Birthday Celebrations Online, with every order (no matter how much) you get a free gift, Now it's hard to believe I know, because there's always some sort of catch? but there's none! 

I'm gutted that tomorrow is the last day on this offer but I've just gone online and spend £20 on top notch products, they're all so cheap yet brilliant!!!

Newspaper Nails!

Okay, so I imagine a lot of you can agree with me when I say money is rather tight at the moment - right?

Well, I've recently seen the 'Newspaper Nails' come to life again, so I thought I'd try them out. I think it's worked fantastically! It's a great, quick & easy way to add some individuality to your nails, at a great price! Everyone has old nail polishes somewhere, whether its a colour you use a lot but want to jazz it up, or a colour you're not to keen on. It works brilliantly either way!  

Here's a Tutorial on how you can create this fantastic look! 

You will need: 

- Nail Polish.
- Top Coat.
- Alcohol ( A Spirit or Rubbing Alcohol) 
- 1O cut up Newspaper pieces. 
- Nail Varnish Remover & Cotton Pads. 

.... now lets be honest, we all have these somewhere in our house! 

Step One. 
 Cleanse your nails, free of any polish or grit. 



Step Two. 

Paint your nails your desired colour. Personally I think a varnish with out glitter works best! 

Step Three. 

Dip your nail into the Alcohol for a few seconds, covering all of the nail!

(Making sure the Nail Polish was dry before hand!!)

Step Four. 

Place the Newspaper cutting over your nail, making sure to cover the whole of the nail & press firmly for 30 seconds, making sure not to move the paper. 

Step Five. 

Peel back and reveal your creation! 

Continue to do the rest of your nails using the same technique.  

Finish by covering with your favorite top coat & cleaning up around your nails with cotton wool & nail varnish remover & you're set to go!! 

How brilliant?! 

You can vary the colour polish and you're never going to have the same print again.
